Founder and Community Director, Wynhaven Wellness Community Center
Wendy Skinner, BSN, RN, VABC, is the founder and community director of Wynhaven Wellness Community Center, a 12,000 square foot wellness campus located on the Forsyth-Dawson County line in North Georgia. Wynhaven was built to address two connected needs that Wendy identified through years of working inside the healthcare and wellness space: practitioners need a professional, supportive environment to serve clients without the burden of a traditional office build-out, and local residents need a place designed for genuine restoration, not another transactional wellness destination.
Her clinical background spans more than 15 years, beginning as a firefighter and first responder in 2008, progressing through EMT certification, emergency department nursing, perioperative care, and board certification in vascular access. That foundation gives Wendy a practitioner's understanding of what wellness professionals actually need from a workspace, and a patient's understanding of what it means to seek care in an environment that feels safe, calm, and human.
Wynhaven reflects both. The campus brings together private and shared wellness suites for practitioners, treatment and consultation rooms, quiet indoor lounges, outdoor gardens, a koi pond, walking trails, a butterfly garden, and community gathering spaces. It is not a clinic, a gym, or a coworking office. It is a community-centered campus where care, nature, and everyday restoration meet in one connected setting.
As a Dawson County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and 2026 Business Leader of the Year, Wendy brings the same community-first orientation to Wynhaven that has defined her presence across North Georgia's healthcare and wellness landscape.
